hello everyone :D i'm new and i have a few questions.
i've been on hormonal birth control pills two separate times. once when i was 14 or 15 for period-related problems, and this past summer for actual don't-have-a-baby reasons. i hated it both times. the first time, i was young and stupid and couldn't remember to take the vitamins my doctor recommended .. or the pills themselves. this time, i felt that i became an emotional wreck, and i had four periods in two months, so i stopped after the third month for that reason, and the fact that i'd gotten the HBC from my home county's free health clinic, and moved to asheville for college.. and they only gave me three months of pills.
i looked into getting depo, and i believe i asked about it in this very community, but realized that if i didn't like it, i would have three month's worth of birth control coursing through my veins.. and i didn't like that.
i'm very interested in getting an IUD, but i think i read somewhere that since i'm only 18 and haven't had a baby, i'm less likely to be a candidate for the insertion of one. also, i just looked at the IUD community and they seem to have a lot of posts in which the IUD comes out? is that really common? and i'm on north carolina medicaid.. and would probably be going to a free clinic to receive BC. do free clinics offer IUD insertion (should i just call and ask?)? i don't have a planned parenthood within 4 hours of where i live but there's one here, and i'm going to call them in the morning.. well, in a couple hours.. and see what they can tell me.
my boyfriend and i are in an LDR at the moment so right now it's not very important.. but i'd like to have the security of knowing that odds are i'm not pregnant.. waiting for my very late period after fall break's visit to his campus was not fun.
thanks in advance, i appreciate any bits of advice/comments i can get :D

I am going to Vegas this weekend and intend to rock hells the whole time. This could be bad, but I have faith that it's certainly doable. The last time I went to Vegas, I always felt like I was dressed to go a funeral... long black dress, flats, and everything. This time I want to feel feminine and... sexy (rawr?). I plan to wear wedges one night (no problem there) and then possibly these 3inch pumps the remainder of the time. So here's my question... how do all of you handle lots of dancing and maybe lots of walking, while on your tiptoes, without completely dying? Are there shoe cushions you recommend? I have these gel inserts that don't really do much, but I was thinking about sticking in some other kind of cushion. Also how the hell do you avoid getting corns... that's a big fear of mine. I don't want jacked up feet! I feel like this is possibly a strange question to ask, but foot care is important!

The Beatles were so avant garde that George Harrison is playing the jacket with his knee. Photograph: David Magnus/Rex Features. For one whose place in history is not so much secure as gloriously, unquestionably assured, Paul McCartney behaves as though there is some doubt. He is, lest we forget, not just any old ex-Beatle, but the Beatle. At least since John departed. ( That insecurity is )

I was surfing through the memories and I saw a comment answering a pretty informative post on how they would open a vitamin E capsule and just smear it on their face. It apparently left their skin soft and bright in the morning. I have a couple of questions regarding this though.
1. Does this work for you guys? 2. Is there a way to avoid the stuff getting on your pillow/sheets? (considering how thick it is) 3. Will you guys suggest this for acne prone skin? My skin calmed down for months and then all of a sudden I was completely breaking out. I'm guessing that was hormonal though. 4. If not, what do you guys suggest for acne scars on the face?
I want my face to be clear again :x Thanks! ♥
EDIT: One last question. Should I apply this stuff on top of the acne medication? Or should my face be a blank palette?

Speculate as you like about what he was doing down in Australia a few days longer than Vanessa was. She came back for her lil' sister's b-day (they apparently went to Disneyland). Rumor has it Zac stuck around (maybe with his dad???) to surf. No idea where the Tizz is (or Kenny for that matter) and do not care. ( Zac arriving at LAX 11.17.08 )( Vanessa arriving at LAX 11.13.08 )Radio interview with Ash and Vanessa, but sadly no Zac. They piss Vanessa off by giving her a hard time about refusing to talk about Zac: 1, 2, 3- Mood:bitchy

New 007 Director Fights Zombies in 'World War Z' Marc Forster will helm Max Brooks adaptation Fresh off the expected success of "Quantum of Solace," Marc Forster has signed on to direct Paramount's adaptation of "World War Z." Set to be produced by Brad Pitt's Plan B shingle, "World War Z" is based on the book by Max Brooks, a first-person oral history of the aftermath of a massive zombie crisis, told through the eyes of survivors around the world. The book, which lacks any sort of central characters or dramatic arc, has been adapted by J. Michael Straczynski ("Changeling"). According to Variety, Forster was attracted to the script, comparing it to '70s political thrillers like "All the President's Men" (only with zombies). "Quantum of Solace," already an international smash, represents a change of pace for Forster, whose previous directing credits include "Monster's Ball," "Finding Neverland" and "The Kite Runner." by removing the head or destroying the brain.didn't read this book, but i read the survival guide. back in high school, i thought zombies were srs business and i had to prepare. i even planned out several uses of objects in my dorm room just in case of an epidemic. no lie.

In the late 19th century, the French writer Marcel Proust stumbled upon a questionnaire called "An Album to Record Thoughts, Feelings, etc." Proust answered the survey several times in his life, and helped popularize the revelatory questions, which became known as the Proust questionnaire, as a way to uncover a subject's true characteristics and emotions ever since. We had fun filling out our questionnaires and includes the original documents here. -MKA ( The interviews under the cut... )- Influence- olsen-files.com

As shown last night, C Love posted over 60 blogs in one day. wow. Here is her latest one and it actually makes sense! Well for C Love at least... ( Formatted with Love ) Source: www.myspace.com/courtneylove

Just joined this comm. I am pretty excited that I found it. I hope there will be more seasons of this show because I LOVE it.
Just a question I need to post now. I love Kenley's style (albeit her attitude makes me shudder a bit) Is there a specific name for the type of feathered hair pins that she wears. They have a very vintagey burlesque feel that I ADORE.
Thanks for anyone who can answer this for me :)
